REIKI
Reiki translates to 'universal life force energy'. Reiki is used as a complimentary treatment and can help with pain, sleep deprivation, anxiety and low mood.
Reiki is known help improve physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
The Alternative OT offers Reiki healing as a stand-alone treatment from occupational therapy which supports over-all well-being, physical, mental and emotional health as well as being known to help with reducing and managing pain.
SOUND
Sound therapy is another offering available through The Alternative OT, again, as an addition or as a stand-alone treatment to occupational therapy. The use of therapeutic modalities such as tuning forks, singing bowls, gongs and other tools are offered to individuals or groups to support healing and balancing of the body, mind and spirit.
MEDITATION
Support to develop your use of meditation is also available as well as supporting your journey in connecting with your inner wisdom and living from your heart.
Using meditation and inward reflection and discernment you will increase your own understanding as to why you may be struggling in certain areas of your life. The practice will help you learn to surrender to what you have going on in life and live in trust that you have the means to live life to the fullest.
Meditation does not have to be for those who have already had a spiritual awakening, it does not have to look or feel perfect and does not mean you sit in complete silence and stillness for hours on end. Meditation is available and accessible to all, and can help you live from a place of self-love, gratitude and understanding.
